Rick Bosetti, candidate for California State Assembly was a Major League Baseball player drafted from Shasta College by the Philadelphia Phillies, played for the St. Louis Cardinals, Toronto Blue Jays and Oakland A’s before retiring in 1983.  His campaign for State Assembly wanted a direct mail piece mirroring a classic baseball card.

This door-to-door piece for Mayor Gayle Smolinski, candidate for Illinois State Senate, is a good example of an effective walk card aimed at educating voters about her campaign. 

This piece utilizes simple messaging and emerging technology quick response code, or QR, to drive traffic to the campaign's site.
